Is a resin driveway permeable?

The resin-bound layer itself can allow water through, but the driveway as a whole is only permeable if everything beneath it is built to drain as well. Foot traffic is usually fine later the same day or the next morning, and vehicles typically after around 24 to 48 hours, depending on temperature and conditions. Curing is slower in cold weather, so we will tell you the sensible wait before you park on it. See installation.

For most homes, resurfacing a front garden does not need permission if the surface is permeable or if water is directed to a border, lawn or soakaway rather than straight onto the road. If you are in a conservation area or have a listed property, check with Gloucester City Council first.
